Thank You!

I took a short summer vacation from blogging and now I’m tanned, rested, and ready to start again. I have a pair of interviews that I have completed and that are in the final editing and approval stages. I hope to get the first one out very soon.

2012 Forensic 4Cast Awards

The most important order of business is to thank everyone who was kind enough to vote for the blog as the 2012 Forensic 4Cast Awards Digital Forensic Blog of the Year. I really did not expect to win this year because the others who were nominated did such a fine job during the same period. I am immensely humbled, grateful, and honored that so many of you took the time and trouble to cast your votes in favor of AFoD Blog.

The digital forensics community has passed a new milestone now that one our certification organizations has achieved accreditation by the Forensics Specialists Accreditation Board (FSAB). The International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS) recently became accredited by the FSAB. IACIS is the organization behind the Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) certification process which they have recently opened up to the general public. Congratulations to IACIS for this accomplishment!
